Gillian McIver
film & video /installation
art / photography
Sometimes a film needs more than a screen; sometimes it needs to
be an object, to occupy space more firmly, for be encased or enclosed,
to spread across walls and floors, or to interact with other objects.
Sometimes a photograph cannot be committed to paper, it needs to
exist as an illusion, a play of light across a surface, always at
the point of dissolution.
If the word for this is "installation" so be it. I prefer
to simply think of them as films or photographs.
