Photography

I have always worked mainly in colour. Most of my photographic work is Cibachrome or C-41 process colour print, or 35mm slide projection. More recently I am working with RAW digital techniques. Recent Photographic Exhibitions include Jewish Museum, London 2010 where I exhibited “from west to east: journeys through Poland” as part of Optimistic Immigrants’ Polska Year event; Format Festival 2009, whee I exhibited the  Tarkovsky’s River photographs; the Menier Gallery 2008, where I exhibited New Unstructures; “In Situ,” Farinera del Clot Barcelona 2007 where I exhibited exhibited the Poble Nou photos. Installation

Sometimes a film needs more than a screen; sometimes it needs to be an object, to occupy space more firmly, for be encased or enclosed, to spread across walls and floors, or to interact with other objects. Sometimes a photograph cannot be committed to paper, it needs to exist as an illusion, a play of light across a surface, always at the point of dissolution. If the word for this is "installation" so be it. For me the begiining is always as films or photographs.

Sometimes a captured image is not necessary, and can be created in real time throgh the arrangement of objects, light, shade and texture in a real place. Object installation is not my usual practice but it sometimes happens in site specific projects.
